Author Biography:
Michael H. Thaut is Professor of Music and Director of the Music and Health Science Research Laboratory at Colorado State University. He is also the Editor-in-Chief of the journal Music and Medicine. Thaut is a leading researcher in the field of music psychology and has published over 200 articles and book chapters. He is the recipient of numerous awards, including the American Psychological Association's Distinguished Scientific Contribution Award and the Society for Music Perception and Cognition's Senior Career Award.
