In this guide, we'll show you how to make 30 different moths, butterflies, beetles, and other cute critters. These little creatures are perfect for decorating your home, giving as gifts, or using as toys. They're also a great way to learn about the different types of insects that live in your area.

Materials

  • Felt in various colors
  • Embroidery floss or thread
  • Scissors
  • Needle
  • Stuffing
  • Optional: Buttons, beads, or other embellishments

Instructions

1. Choose a critter to make. We've provided 30 different patterns below, but you can also create your own.

2. Cut out the felt pieces according to the pattern. You can use a variety of colors and patterns to create your own unique critter.

3. Sew the felt pieces together. Use a simple running stitch or a whip stitch to sew the pieces together. Be sure to leave a small opening so that you can stuff the critter.

4. Stuff the critter with stuffing. Use a small amount of stuffing so that the critter is soft and cuddly.

5. Sew the opening closed. Use a whip stitch or a ladder stitch to sew the opening closed.
